Membership

Current members of the BARRIE KENNEL AND OBEDIENCE CLUB, INC. (BKOC) come from all points in Simcoe County and beyond.

The BKOC is a public club, we welcome new members at any time. The process is simple, come for a meeting, meet our members and see if we are a fit for you. After the meeting, you will be provided with a membership application. We are a "hands on" club, offering a variety of activities for our members to participate in.

The Club is always in need of active members who have a basic interest in purebred dogs and who are owners or breeders of purebred dogs. There are no other requirements that need to be met, just a willingness to learn and work with the other members.

Yearly membership dues are:

  • $20 Single
  • $40 Family (2 adults + 2 juniors, same household)
  • $10 for Junior membership (age 18 or less)
  • $10 for Associate membership (Resides outside of Simcoe County, and non-voting)

All membership dues are inclusive of HST.

Meetings are held at designated locations on the first Wednesday of each month.

For information about membership, send an email inquiry to our Membership Chair.

Education for members is important at the BKOC and educational sessions are offered at many of the monthly meetings. Topics range from health issues, to alternative medicines, training and nutrition.  If you are specifically knowledgeable in a topic and are interested in providing an educational session to our membership please contact our Education Chair.
